Hey! Glad you made it!

I am in my final year at Bournemouth University where I am studying Multimedia Journalism. The aim of my website is to take you through each step of what it takes to produce a TV documentary, especially in times like these. Hopefully by the end we will have a completed documentary that will look to inspire some form of action to be taken. That is always the sign of a good documentary.

The big question we are following in this documentary is how important are independent music venues for music. Over the past 10 years the UK has lost one third of all its independent music venues and with COVID-19 forcing them to shut their doors, it isn't looking good for the near future. We could be seeing hundreds of independent music venues close down if they don't receive the adequate amount of financial support they deserve. Music is not only apart of our culture but it is a part of each and everyone of us personally; it is there through good times and bad, happy and sad, it ignites the spark to the emotion connected with it. Music is very powerful. Without it, what will we do? I think the world would be a very bleak place, there wouldn't be anymore live concerts where you can go and meet new people of whom are all there because you all like the same music. Has coronavirus given us an insight into what the future could look like without live music? If so it's a very sad world.
